My name is Jason Taylor. I am 31 years old. This is my story.

I am originally from beautiful Troy, Vermont. After 17 years of growing up in the sticks, I moved to Philadelphia, PA. where I lived for 9 years. There I attended The University of the Arts and graduated with a BFA.

I worked at a small studio called The Production House, Inc. for 4 years. There I was the lead animator and general 3d artist. When I ended my employment with TPH, I began a fruitfull career as a freelance character animator. During this time, I worked on some great projects for some cool companies. Eight months later, I accepted a character animator position at Blur Studio in sunny Venice, California.

Blur was alot of fun and all the guys and gals are so darn talented. It's truely amazing what you can see on the screens just walking about the studio. A couple years after, I moved up to an animation supervisor role. It
was great working closely with all the blurian super talent! I got to work on a ton of great projects at Blur, including several for Disney, the Academy Award nominated short film Gopher Broke, and most recently I was animation supervisor on the short film A Gentlemen's Duel.

I have recently left Blur and I'm working as an independant freelance animator. Working for various companies is refreshing and exciting. I offer a range of services from character animation, animation supervision, and other character creation services. If you need some animation, give me a shout!

I also enjoy many (sometimes too many) hobbies. I have been skateboarding for about 14 years. It's so much fun! I love skating with my friends in the 1208 Crew. These guys are wild! They are all very talented artists. They are mostly painters, illustrators, photographers, and graphic/web designers. I've been known to juggle, hike, do the monkey dance, and just a smidge of musical sketching.

. At home, I am constantly creating new characters, short film development, and exercises. I've got a creative bone and it's itching.
